Maximize Your Crafting with the PoE2 recombinator
Endgame crafting in Path of Exile 2 is a brutal game of statistics, and nothing represents high-risk, high-reward better than the PoE2 recombinator. When you smash two top-tier items together, the last thing you want to rely on is blind luck. By using an odds calculator, you can simulate the exact probability of retaining your desired prefixes and suffixes before destroying your valuable bases.
How the PoE2 recombinator Chooses Modifiers
The underlying algorithm of a PoE2 recombinator pools the affixes from both 'Item A' and 'Item B'. It first selects a base type from one of the two items (a 50/50 coin flip), and then determines the final number of prefixes and suffixes based on the combined size of the affix pools.
- Prefix & Suffix Pooling: The system rolls independently for prefixes and suffixes. If you input two items with 3 prefixes each, the pool has 6 prefixes to choose from.
- Target Modifiers: Use our calculator to tag your "Desired" mods. The tool will use combinatorial math to determine the percentage chance that all targeted mods survive the mutation process.
- Base Type Preservation: Always remember that the base item is chosen at a 50% rate. If you are transferring a fractured mod to a specific base, your maximum theoretical success rate is immediately halved.
Using This Simulator
Input the total number of prefixes and suffixes for both items above. Then, specify how many of those are your "Target" mods. Click calculate to instantly reveal the odds. Don't gamble blind—let our PoE2 recombinator math engine guide your next Mirror-tier craft.
