Mastering Detection Priority

The Lifeform Analyzer is arguably the most frustrating yet essential informational accessory in the game. When equipped or held in the inventory, it displays the name of rare enemies, NPCs, and critters around you based on a strict Detection Priority Tier List.

"Example: If a Nymph (Tier 3) and a Bound Goblin (Tier 1) are both off-screen, the UI will only warn you about the Bound Goblin."

Cell Phone Crafting Tree (Accessory Component)

  • Step 1 (R.E.K. 3000): Combine Lifeform Analyzer + Radar + Tally Meter at a Tinkerer's Workshop.
  • Step 2 (PDA): Combine R.E.K. 3000 + Goblin Tech + Fish Finder + GPS.
  • Step 3 (Cell Phone): Combine PDA + Magic Mirror or Ice Mirror.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get the Lifeform Analyzer?
It cannot be crafted. It is only acquired by purchasing it from the Traveling Merchant for 5 Gold Coins when it randomly appears in his inventory.
Why does it only show one creature at a time?
The analyzer uses a strict detection priority system. If multiple rare creatures are nearby, it will only display the name of the creature with the highest priority tier.
What is the Lifeform Analyzer used to craft?
It is combined with a Radar and Tally Meter to create the R.E.K. 3000, which is eventually used to craft the Cell Phone.
